LEGEND

Here's a brief guide to what appears in the columns on the Football - Not Muggybonehead shirt pages.

TEAM: Self-explanatory. I have tried my best to list teams in their correct order. Some of you may be oblivious to the fact that in some countries it is the name of the city/town/hamlet that takes precedence, whereas in others it is the first word in the team's name that is given priority. If I have incorrectly listed any of the teams in your country then please excuse my ignorance and feel free to show me the error of my ways.
Out of respect, exonyms are given short shrift, as per United Nations guidelines.

H/A:

H = Home

A = Away

3rd = Third Shirt

4th = Fourth Shirt

G = Goalkeeper

GH = Goalkeeper - Home

GA = Goalkeeper- Away

G3 = Goalkeeper - 3rd

Ex = Exhibition

In the event that a shirt held a different role (i.e. away in one season and 3rd in another) then the initial status prevails.

YEAR: The seasons that the shirt was in use. I have done my best to show the correct year and I would estimate that about 95% of them are correct. Any that I have doubts over are followed by a question mark. If you see any mistakes or you want to argue the toss over any of them then please inform me and I will gladly make the amendments.

MAN.: The manufacturer of the shirt, or at least, the company whose logo appears on the shirt.

SIZE: I apologise straight away for the inclusion of inches as the main unit of measurement. Unfortunately, it still seems to be prevalent in football shirt sizing. I toyed with the idea of also using centimetres when applicable but I figured that would leave most of you more confused than you already appear to be.

Anyone who says that since I still condone the use of this antiquated system, I should accept payment in Groats, has logic on their side.

An asterisk (not Asterix, as the majority of you still have the Gaul (sic) to write) denotes that the size information is missing but it has been assessed using similar shirts.

I have created a size chart that shows the anomalies in sizes from manufacturer to manufacturer.

SPONSOR: In the case of shirts that have a plethora of advertising, I have included the ones that are more prominent on the shirt.

COLOURS: I have tried to describe the shirts the best I can. In the case of the more obscure colours listed, these are usually provided by the manufacturers.

CON.: This gives you a guide to the shirt's condition. Here is the ratings table used:

New

10 - As New

9 - Excellent

8 - Very Good

7 - Good

6 - Above Average

5 - Average

4 - Below Average

3 - Poor

2 - Very Poor
